| Description | The Steering Cooperative mailing list is currently managed manually in a Thunderbird address book, and no archives of the email exchanged are available. There should be a private email discussion list available only to the Steering Cooperative members with: - automatic registration for all users having the Steering Cooperative role - private archive of all email exchanged for all users of the Cooperative | ||||||||||

Given our limited control over the mailman installation, we will need a e-mail account, which will be subscribed to the steerincooperative mailing list, and from drupal we will programatically get its mails and post to forums. all the emails sent to SteeringCooperative will be forwarded to this new email account we speak of, and we now keep a copy of all the mails on a private forum on the drupal website. So the forum will keep archiving all the emails. @Osarrat : Can you add a new e-mail account on sigmah mail server, which we can use for this purpose ? |

https://github.com/spMohanty/sigmah-website/commit/fffe2a08b605e24469e1ae1f334e936355a6fd28 [^] , added the archive, in this commit, a few more changes need to be done to the theming. also added the role based auto subscription feature in this commit https://github.com/spMohanty/sigmah-website/commit/65df23de0192591d53d4972edf73d96b651aad24 [^] and the filter to select messages in a range is added in this commit : https://github.com/spMohanty/sigmah-website/commit/c7e0082b4b1fd6695826076e68c041f2cbf8bb1c [^] but, note : these take place whenever a role is changed, so the initial members of the steering cooperative role have to be added manually. note-1 : After all this, for the automated fetching of the mails, you will have to setup a cron job on the server, which requests <web-root>/cron.php file, at whatever intervals is demeed necessary |
