1.2.2. Who is Sigmah for?

Submitted by pbrunet on Mon, 06/06/2011 - 11:06

Sigmah is principally for aid organisations who implement complex humanitarian projects (a number of teams in charge of several projects/programmes in a variety of technical sectors and in different organisational units ).
An individual user can use Sigmah to their advantage for a personal project, including small-scale projects, but will not be able to use the software to its full potential.

N.B. In all cases, Sigmah requires solid understanding of project cycle management and, in order to be put to optimal use, basic notions of the principles of quality assurance (Quality COMPAS method  or some other quality reference framework).
Finally, using the Sigmah software does not replace the expertise of the people involved in the projects/programmes. Nor does it do away with the need to use technical tools which are specific to each sector of intervention (food security, water and sanitation, etc.) and each type of job (accounting, security, intranet, e-mails…)
