5.4. How do you copy and paste a logical framework?

Submitted by pbrunet on Tue, 06/07/2011 - 13:28

In order to avoid having to write out a logical framework which is similar to a previous one, you can copy and paste the previous one.
To do this, open the logical framework page of the project you want to copy and click on the “Copy” button in the top right hand corner:

This opens a box in the bottom right hand corner of the screen to confirm that the logical framework has been copied.

Next, go to the Logical Framework page of the project you are designing by clicking on “Paste”:

A dialog box appears which asks you to :

  • confirm that you want to insert the copied logical framework:
  • choose if you want to link the copied indicators to their original source logical framework : if so, the indicators of the source logical framework will be selected as the source of data for the indicators created in the pasted logical framework (see the definition of  the concept of  "Indicator data source" for more details).

If you click Yes, a confirmation message appears in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
