6.1.2. Project model field

Submitted by pbrunet on Tue, 06/07/2011 - 14:04

Each project model field has the following 9 characteristics:

  • Name: the heading which end users will see
  • Type: format in which information will be entered (to be chosen from a drop-down list). See "Definitions of model field types" for more details.
  • Container: box containing a number of groups. In concrete terms, this involves the Details sub-tab or the Phase details section for a given phase of the project model. And for an organisational unit, the container is always the sub-tab “Information”.
  • Group : named group of several fields
  • Order : number indicating the position in which a field is displayed in relation to the other fields of the same group (tip: use initial values of 10, 20, 30, etc. so that it is easy to then insert subsequent fields between two others, for example, by giving a field the value of 15 so that it can be inserted between field 10 and field 20)
  • Required: indicates whether or not it is necessary to complete a section.
  • Privacy Groups: to make a field accessible (or not) to certain user groups. For more information see "How do you create a Privacy Group?".
  • Amendable: to choose whether modifications to the field will be controlled by the “Amendments” system. For more information see "How do you amend a project?".
  • Exportable: to decide whether or not the field will be exported in the Project synthesis spreadsheet.
