6.4.2.2.3. “Log Frame” tab

Submitted by pbrunet on Tue, 06/07/2011 - 15:10

The “Log Frame” tab includes:

  • a “Save” button,
  • a “Log frame name” field
  • a table with 4 sections:
    • Specific objectives (SO),
    • Activities (A),
    • Expected Results (ER),
    • Prerequisites (P)

Each of these sections is made up of several fields.
Use the scrollbar on the right hand side of the screen to view the lower sections:

N. B.: All the information entered in this page will be seen by the final user in the Log Frame sub-tab of a project regardless of its model or type.

How do you edit the logical framework model of a project model?

First, you can modify the default name of the logical framework “Default log frame”. To do this, delete the default name and enter the name of your choice. A confirmation message then appears.

Similarly, default proposals are made for each of the fields of the 4 sections on the basis of the most common format for a logical framework (a table with 4 columns – which cannot be modified here – with a maximum number of lines and groups – the default setting being 3 here for each section, unless specified otherwise below).

Here is the list of elements which can be modified by section:
1. Specific Objectives (SO) :

  • Max number of SO:
  • Enable SO groups? (this is a yes/no question, with “yes” the default setting)
  • Max number of SO groups

  • Max number of A per ER:

  • Max number of A per group:
